Annual cost by payment volume

Worked example

  • A company paying RD$10,000,000 (about US$164,313.15) a month to suppliers pays RD$20,000 (about US$328.63) a month, RD$240,000 (about US$3,943.52) a year, against RD$180,000 (about US$2,957.64) at the old 0.15%.

Step by step

  1. Identify which accounts move funds between related companies, since only same person transfers are excluded.
  2. Book the charge as a bank cost.
  3. Check whether payroll transfers are charged by your bank.

Common traps

  • Transfers between two group companies are not transfers between accounts of the same person.
  • DGII's selective tax page still showed 1.5 per thousand when verified, while notice 10-26 gives 0.20% from 3 July 2026 and the law says 0.002.
